Sure, you know carrots are good for your eyes, but did you know they can also do wonders for your skin? How about eggs? While both seem pretty gross (what, rubbing yolk on your face doesn’t sound appealing to you?), they’re actually both known to improve skin’s overall tone and reduce dark spots–add avocado to the mix and you’ve got a moisturizing mask perfect for when you a need a little (messy) pick-me-up to get glowing.
- 1 avocado, mashed
- 1 carrot, cooked and mashed
- 2 tablespoons milk
- the white of one egg, whisked
- 1 1/2 tablespoons of honey
Combine ingredients in bowl and apply to face in a thick (but manageable) layer. Leave on for 10-20 minutes, then rinse. Finish with a light moisturizer (I love using Clinique’s Moisture Surge Intense Skin Fortifying Hydrator).
