Whether you hit the gym in the mornings and then head straight to work or save your sweating for after the office, chances are you need something to carry all that stuff around in. Up until about a year ago, I only owned embarrassing gym bags. First it was my clunky soccer bag in high school which had a designated compartment for my ball, was our school colors and was embellished with my number embroidered on the back (#10 woot woot!).
Once my high school career ended, I graduated to a flimsy drawstring bag that barely held more than a water bottle and a cotton headband. It would slam back and forth on my lower back (re: my ass) as I made the walk from my dorm to the gym across campus, and on more than one occasion my keys pierced a hole in the fabric. The worst came when I moved to the city and actually began to carry my gym clothes and sneakers in old shopping bags. I’m sure the recycling Gods were looking down on me with pride, but the workout Gods certainly were not.
Plain and simple: I finally manned up and bought myself a gym bag I didn’t have to be embarrassed to carry with me on the subway on the way to work, into my office or into the locker room. It carries the surplus of stuff I need to bring with me if I workout before work, and it’s actually cute with all it’s neon pink-ness. Here are a few more adorable options that won’t break the bank:
