Out of all the types of home goods in all of the world, I think buying kitchen goodies is my favorite. Maybe it’s because I’m a bit of an obsessed cook, I’m not sure—either way, I can’t get enough of dish ware, pretty cutlery and accessories. I’m honestly lucky I live in an 800-square-foot apartment. If I had more space, I know I’d find a way to fill it—particularly with a few of the pretty finds, below!
LINEN NAPKIN, $20 // Linen napkins are my go-to for shooting recipe stories for the blog. They have such a nice texture to them and typically “fall” really nicely around the food or dishes. This pretty charcoal gray would be perfect for winter shoots!
COPPER FRENCH PRESS, $50 // I’ll be the first to admit, I probably don’t need a french press. I typically just opt for a grab-and-go coffee from my local coffee shop on my way to the subway, but there’s something about slow-roasted french press coffee and a lazy brunch on the weekends. Sigh. Give me that life.
MORTAR AND PESTLE, $115 // Mortar and pestles are one of those double duty kitchen items—not only does it look gorgeous sitting out on the counter (more of a reason to not put the dishes away…) but it’s actually super useful for even a novice cook. I love making pesto or sun-dried tomato pastes in one—the texture comes out so much chunkier and better than in a food processor.
SOAPSTONE POT, $150 // How pretty is this?! Love those copper accents. Plus, soapstone pots and cookery are non-toxic and retain heat much better than traditional pots or pans. Translation? Your roast chicken or short ribs will cook in half the time (and look pretty presented on the table)!
GLASS AND WOOD DECANTER, $35 // Probably the only thing on this list that I actually currently need. I love red wine during the winter months and while I was home for Christmas, I really noticed the difference of decanted red wine for the first time. I’d like to give it a shot with some of my favorite bottles to see if there’s a notable change in taste!
EMERALD DUTCH OVEN, $345 // We got my mom this Le Creuset pot for Christmas and she hasn’t stopped talking about it since. While I have my own, I really really (really really) love this emerald color. So pretty!
MARBLE ROLLING PIN, $65 // I’ve been cranking out a lot of pizza lately, and this pretty roller would definitely have come in handy on more than one occasion. Impossibly, we don’t own a single roller!
